Obituary:
Betty Singleton Goodsell, age 82, of Florence, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 5, 10:00 A.M.-12:00 Noon at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The service will follow at 12:00 Noon with Rev. John McKell officiating. There will be a private graveside service at Greenview Memorial Park. Mrs. Goodsell was a graduate of Coffee High School and Queens College, North Carolina, and also served as director of the American Red Cross , Charter Member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, The Sewing Club, and Dyslexia Program. Pallbearers will be Nick Goodsell, Blake Goodsell, Bill Goodsell, Nathan Flippo, Trey Stokes, Dean Moore, and Clayton Moore. Mike Smith, Mark Spry, and Dr. Hampton Moore will serve as honorary pallbearers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Goodsell, Jr.; son, Mike Goodsell; grand-daughter, Katie Moore; mother, Marjorie Singleton Brown; father, Hugh Singleton. Survivors include : Children: Tim and Kim Goodsell of Alabaster, AL Dan Goodsell of Atlanta, GA Scott and Gina Goodsell of Orange Beach, AL Dr. Hamp and Melinda Moore of Florence, AL Jane Stokes of Florence, AL Grandchildren: Nicholas Goodsell, Blake Goodsell, Bill Goodsell, Melanie Manson, Nathan Flippo, James “Trey” Stokes, Samantha Goodsell, Mary Claire Moore, Dean Moore, Clayton Moore, Kelly Kefford, and Bailey Fulks Four Great-Grandchildren: Corrine, Caroline, Sara, and Claire Special thanks to the staff of Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Service at 12:00 PM at Graveside on Saturday, August 5th, 2017
