James R. Clemons
September 29th, 1941 - March 26th, 2018
James Ray Clemons, age 76, of Florence, passed away March 26, 2018. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 29th from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Florence. A celebration of his life will follow at the church at 11:00 am with Rev: Kevin Johnson, Dr. Gerald Lord, and Rev: Jeremy Johnson officiating. A private burial will be held at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Jim was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Florence where he served as a deacon and was a member of the Joshua Sunday School Class. He was employed as a crane operator for Reynolds Metals and Wise Alloys, where he retired with 30 years’ service. He was a veteran of the US Army Reserve.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillie Clemons; brother, Ed Clemons; and sister, Helen Farr.
Survivors include his loving wife, Pamelia Bull Clemons; sons, James Todd Clemons (Melanie) of Cullman and William Caldwell Clemons of Florence; and grandchildren, Lexie and Jake Clemons; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
