January 27, 1940 - April 10, 2020

Tommy Leon O’Bryant, age 80, of Florence, passed away April 10, 2020. A private graveside service will be held at Railroad Cemetery on Monday, April 13, with Brother Ronnie McKissack and Brother Dennis Hanvey officiating.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Pearl O’Bryant; son, Roy Montgomery; and granddaughters, Stephanie Kelley and Tonya Montgomery.

Survivors include his loving wife Hazel O’Bryant; children, Sherrie Chapman (Bill), Randy O’Bryant, Debra Smith (Ellis), Michael Montgomery (Janice), and Joy Montgomery Fowler; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren; and 4 sisters.

He was an elder with the Christian Faith Church in Cloverdale and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired from TVA, where he was a member of the painters local union #1283. He was a Godly man who loved everyone and loved doing things to help people.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

  1. Brother Tommy will be missed by so many. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers. I love each and everyone of you. I will never forget him doing so much for my precious moma. He was there for the family if we ever needed anything. A very godly man and a true friend.

Brother Tommy was a Godly light in this dark world a kind meek and humble man he truly loved God and it showed thur his smile testimony and witnessing the world was a better place having him in it however Heaven is rejoicing over this wonderful angel it now has.
