Lavetta Williams Adams, age 81, of Florence passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020.
Mrs. Adams was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church. Retired from UNA as an Advisor and the City of Florence, she was a Master Gardener and worked in home decorating.
Survivors include:
Son: Chip Adams of Florence
Daughter: Cindy Griffith of Florence
Son: Todd Adams of Cherokee
Brother: Howard Lon Williams of Ohio
Grandson: Caleb Griffith
Visitation will be Monday, September 7, 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at Spry~Williams Funeral Home. Service will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Florence City Cemetery.

Having worked with Lavette at UNA for a number of years, I know what a special person she was. I will remember always her bright smile that greeted me whenever I entered the office. She also was very welcoming to my wife. A delight to be around and always willing to go the extra mile, she will be missed.
A loving mother is a blessing from God. We celebrate the life she lived, her accomplishments and commitment to those she loved and served . She had such a beautiful smile and an inner light . We feel that we know her best through her children who carry on this legacy of love , service to others and light from above. Sending our love and prayers to the family during this time of loss.
