Norma Carolyn Snyder, age 85, passed from this life, surrounded by her loving family, on May 13, 2021.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 16, from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home.  The funeral will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, John Snyder; parents, William  and Carrie Hartley Grant; grandson, Jonathan Patterson; sister, Sarah Odom; brothers, John William, Dan, Robert “Buck” and Clyde Hartley; nieces, Brenda Roberts and Bonnie Emery; and nephews, Alan Hartley, Darrell Odom and Randy Hartley.

Survivors include her children, Norma Patterson (Walter) and Carol Hartung (Rick); grandchildren, Kimberly Butler (Scott) and Carrie Hibbett (Reece); great-grandchildren, Emily Butler, Eli Butler, Benjamin Patterson and Oliver Hibbett; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Snyder was a member of Creekside Church.  Among her favorite pastimes were traveling, reading and working crossword puzzles, but her first love was caring for her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shoals Sav-A-Life.   The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice, especially Renee, for their loving care.
