Marilyn Joann Johnson, age 52, passed away at North Alabama Medical Center, May 18, 2021. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Lee Butler and Betty Jean Butler; brother, Jeffery Lamont Butler. Survivors include her son, Robert Bolton, daughter, Leann Johnson (Chase); grandchildren, Brenten Paul Turner, Everly Mae Johnson; brother, Terry (Terrence) Butler (Christine); sisters, Sharon Farris (Roy), Sandra Murphy, Brenda McKelvey, Rebecca Henry (Tim), numerous nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Finding the perfect gift and gifting it was one of her favorite pastimes. She was always ready for a walk, dance, or a fishing trip. Marilyn will definitely be missed.

The family would like to thank Gleenwood nursing home for the care and compassion shown to Marilyn while she was a resident.
