Duard Holder, Jr., age 86, of Florence, passed away December 8, 2021.  The family will receive friends on Friday, December 10, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Service.  The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother A. G. Stepp officiating.  A private family burial will follow the service.

Mr. Holder was preceded in death by his parents, Duard and Audry Holder, and brothers, Oscar Holder (Lisa) and Leroy Holder.

Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Mary; children, Danny Holder and Terry Holder (Vickie), both of Florence, and Carol Shepherd (Derek) of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Chad Holder (Cory), Allison Drake, Jordan Harper (Kimberly), Tiffany Holder, Brady Holder (Kayla), Alexandria Pena (Alex), Kristina and Gresham Shepherd; and great-grandchildren, Corgan Taylor, Walker and Fletcher Holder, Hadi Drake, and Everleigh Rose, Anastasia, Shepherd and Sawyer Pena, and Madalyn and Jase Watkins.

He was retired from Liberty National Life Insurance.  He was a member of Lee Heights Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge.  Mr. Holder was an avid Crimson Tide fan and enjoyed seeing Alabama win the SEC Championship last week-end.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Lee Heights Baptist Church.
