After a buyout, several moves and even more promotions Gil retired from McKesson in 1994. Gil and wife Gloria enjoyed the retired life in Arizona for some time, with Gil spending lots of time at the golf course perfecting his swing. However, the call to return to his home was too strong and they moved to Florence in 2008.
