Sarah Jane Clay, age 29, of Florence, passed away March 18, 2022. The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday night from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. with memorial service to follow at 7.
Sarah was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Clay, Sr.
Survivors include her husband of 11 years, Josh Pendergrass; mother, Brenda Clay; sons, Jesse Thomas and James David Pendergrass; and siblings, Elizabeth Clay, Jimmy Lee Clay, Jr., Rose Clay, Jamie Clay and Melissa Waller.
Sarah loved music, dancing, spending time with her boys and listening to her husband play music. She loved her family.
Family ask in lieu of flowers that a donations be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses you may call in a donation to Williams Funeral Home 256-764-6401.

Such a young life taken so soon. I never saw this young lady that she wasn’t smiling even though she had been battling diabetes for years and was one tough lil gal. I am so sorry Josh, boys and family for your loss. I know you all are hurting but also know that Sarah is not anymore. Blessings and prayers for you all.
Never got to meet you but I definitely know we both would have gotten along. I know your waiting patiently for when the time comes to be with your boys. You deserved so much more and I hope by speaking about you and keeping your name alive. I love you even if you didn’t get a chance to know me.
