Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt went to be with our Lord Jesus peacefully on Jan 20th, 2023, in Florence Alabama at the age of 76. Julie (as she was known to her family and friends) was born in Visalia, California on June 10th, 1946, and was preceded in death by her parents Epigmenio Cuellar and Librada Gasca Cuellar. Also preceding her in their death were her brothers Lazaro Cardenas, Johnny Cardenas, and Eduardo (Eddie) Cuellar.
She is survived by her children Arturo Rivas Vallejo Jr. (wife Glenda), Charles Cuellar Vallejo (wife Marty) and Magdalena Vallejo Lira (husband Russell) including 6 grandchildren (Angela Hernandez, Selina Vallejo ,Isaac Vallejo, Charles Vallejo Jr., Cristian Vallejo, and Alexander Lira. She also leaves behind her brother Raymundo Cardenas and many nephews and nieces.
Julie loved music and played the clarinet at Redwood High School until she graduated in 1965. She then continued playing while attending College of the Sequoias. Julie worked as a receptionist at Kaweah Delta Health Care until she retired. She then continued helping and caring for not only her grandchildren but also volunteering to help others wherever she was needed. She loved attending her grandchildren’s special events and loved to be in the front row to make sure she did not miss a moment.
