Paul G. Sutter, Jr., age 75, of Florence, passed away June 14, 2023. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 19, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at CrossPoint Church of Christ. A celebration of life will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the church.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mildred Sutter, and brother, Don Sutter.
Survivors include his loving wife, Janis Richardson Sutter; children, Traci Sigle (Harold), and Tasha Sutter Boatright; sister, Sue Barrett; brother, Danny Sutter; and grandchildren, Aubrey Brown, Emory Brown and Paul Brown.
After retirement from TVA, Paul and his family moved to Perdido Key Beach for 12 years, before returning to the Shoals. He had served in the National Guard and loved playing his guitar. His favorite times, however, were those spent with his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Janis, my thoughts are with you and your family. You were like another family to me over the years.
Paul that smile will be in my memory forever. Thank you for all the happy memories through the years- I always loved how you loved your “girls”- Jan, Traci & Tasha you all remain in my prayers in the days going forward . He was a very special man -so sorry yall -Much love to you all
Janis, Traci,Tasha,So sorry for your loss.Paul will be greatly missed by so many. We always considered Paul and Janis family a part of our family. After we had moved away you always looked out for my mom and dad for that I will always love you both. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. I am sure everyone can relate…when Paul and I met in high school we became fast friends forever. We had many great times and memories…golf among them. I with ALL that knew him are sad for his passing…and wish Janis, Traci and Tasha peace and comfort. Linda and I will keep you in our prayers

To the Paul Sutter Family, I am so sorry to hear about Paul! He was an amazing person! Paul and I worked together years ago at Sears Sporting Goods! He had a smile that would light up the room! Paul was a privilege to know and work with and i am blessed to call him my friend! Asking God to wrap his arms around Paul’s precious family and help ease their pain! Praying for his family🙏💙🙏
Loved Paul like a brother. We had some really good times through our work. He had a wonderful sense of humor. Paul really loved big…God, country, family, friends, beach, and Alabama football. Prayers for the family. God bless.
Wayne and I are so sorry to hear of Paul’s passing. Paul was such a special man and we are so happy we met and got to know you and Paul in Perdido Key! We loved him so much, and always loved how he and Cosmo, our black lab, interacted. He was such a very special friend and so are you Janis!
