John had many very special friends he was so close to that he loved all the same as his family and their care and love meant the world to him. He touched the hearts of so many with his kindness and was always there to help in any way he could when anyone was in need. He loved you all so dearly. To the friends I have seen come to be with him during this terrible time in our lives, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you for coming to see if you could help in any way. You will never know how much that means to not only John, but to me as well.
Kevin Clark, John Givens, Time Eades, Paul Edwards, and Tony Thompson, thank you for adopting John into your lives and families.
For the ones who have reached out to check on John I offer my heartfelt thank you because I know how much you all meant to him and you made his life better by being in it.
To Hellen Keller’s Hospital staff, I would like to send you all a very special heartfelt thank you to the 3rd and 4th floor nurses and staff and to the 2nd floor dialysis crew for taking such wonderful care of my brother. You showed so much kindness and compassion to John over these past three months and your showing of empathy and friendship towards him will forever give me such admiration and gratitude for you all and the wonderful jobs you all do and have done for him. You went above and beyond and showed us what wonderful people you truly are. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
We will hold a memorial service for John later in the year so that it will give loved ones and friends a chance to make it from out of town.

John, I am glad we got to visit when I moved back to Alabama and show you around my home. Thanks for letting me know the weather forecast and helping me get my plants off the porch and inside as I had not thought about it that day. You are Gone too soon. ❤️
