Deborah Ann
Perkins
August 1, 1952 - March 5, 2024
Deborah “Debbie” Ann Perkins, age 72, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 9th from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 pm at Pisgah Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clint Cardin, Kalib Cardin, Tryniti Cardin, Donovan Massey, Eric Perkins, and Blake Perkins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Perkins, Jr.; mother, Betty Perkins; stepmother, Wanda Perkins and many beloved fur babies.
Survivors are her siblings, Donna Perkins Holladay, Kenny Perkins, Tony Perkins, and Wesley Perkins (Samantha); nieces and nephews, Clint Cardin (Sheri), Holly Cardin Cook (Steve), Blake Perkins (Valerie); Eric Perkins (Nicole), Ayden, Max, Levi and Mason Perkins; great-nieces and nephews, Tryniti Cardin, Donovan Massey (Brooke), Kalib Cardin (Victoria), Makenzie Perkins; great-great nieces and nephews, Bentlee Cardin, Abel Lang, Maverick Massey, and Alana Massey, Allen Burbank and Bailey Benson; numerous beloved cousins, aunts, uncles and special friends, Mary Jo McCord, Sallie Polk, and Del Chandler.
Deborah was the first of four siblings and was spoiled by her grandparents. She lived up to the name “Princess Deb”, given to her by her coworkers at TVA and should have been named that at birth. She lived her life exactly the way she wanted and took orders from no one.
Against all expectations, she survived leukemia in her 30’s, sadly, diabetes was too much for her to conquer. Debbie loved her family and friends, She was generous to a fault. Her many fur babies were her greatest loves and will surround her in the afterlife. She loved to listen to live music so she could “strut her stuff”. She could be expected to be present wherever the Midnighters were performing. She enjoyed many outings with her friends from younger days, especially eating out. Flowers were always in bloom at her house.
A special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Angels. In-lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PAWS.
