Lorene “Di” King, age 98, of Florence, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13^th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother Brad Adcock officiating. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Benji Crowden, Jayden Casey, Mackinley, Nipper, William Pomeroy, Gary Olive, and Butler Liles. Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Vickery and Joe Maxwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gertrude Richardson; husband, Johnnie B. King; infant son, Don Wayne King; 4 brothers; 1 sister; son-in-law, Jerry J. Crowden; niece, Regina Davis; great-nephew, Dylan Newman.

Survivors are her daughter, Joyce Ann Crowden (Butch); sister, Virginia Dameron (Virgil); niece, Tricia Huntley; grandson, Jerry Don Crowden; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Benji Crowden; great-great-grandchildren, Caroline , Bentley, and Maeleigh Crowden, Jayden Casey, Caalia and Mackinley Nipper, Jaycie Johnson; bonus-great-great granddaughter, Cali Pearl Kilgore.

Di was the oldest member of Stony Point Church of Christ. She loved her flowers and taking care of the elderly. Momma will be missed by those who knew and loved her. I love you Momma.
