Vera Louise Mitchell, age 87, of Florence, passed away March 18, 2024.  Funeral services were held privately, as were her wishes. Williams Funeral Home of Florence is in charge of arrangements.

She is preceded by her husband of 49 years, Bobby Mitchell; parents, Luther and Rosie Richardson; brothers, Bobby and Eddie Richardson.

Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her daughter, Dee Mitchell; grandchildren, Thomas Barnes and Chelsea Barnes; great-grandchildren, Maria Barnes, Collier Sharp, Barrett Barnes, and Morgan Kimbrough; sister, Joyce Orton; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Mitchell enjoyed her birds and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 an organization she dearly loved.
