Dorothy Ann Adkison, age 83, of Florence, passed away May 18, 2024. Memorial services were held privately. Williams Funeral Home of Florence assisting the family.
She is survived by three children: Steven Wayne Adkison (Laura), Brenda Hakenewerth (Douglas), and Shannon Lee Davis (Jeff). Additional survivors include ten grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was a devoted newspaper carrier for years and also enjoyed her time greeting customers at Wal-Mart.

Savannah, I am so sorry for your loss of Nanny. I always enjoyed talking to her when seeing her at Walmart and other places. She was a real trooper, always there for you and other family members. May she rest in peace.
My condolences and prayers to this entire beautiful family. There are no words in time such as this. May the Lord be with each and everyone in the coming days. I had so much much respect for nanny. She always greeted me with a big hug.
