Larry “Jackie” Thomas Hunt Sr., age 83, of Center Star, Alabama, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024. A graveside service will be Tuesday, May 28th at 1:00 pm at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stenson and Viola Hunt; sisters, Joyce Baker and Fran Lovelace.
Survivors are his loving wife of 52 years, Janice Hunt; children, Larry Thomas Hunt Jr. (Ali) and Tasha Wood (Chris); sisters, Nancy Stout and Linda Smithson; grandchildren, Kobe, EJ, Lexi and a great-grandson on the way.
Larry was retired with a 2nd generation and a member of the Operating Engineers Local #320 as a heavy equipment operator. He was a arrowhead hunter, an avid bass fisherman, and had won many local tournaments. He loved Crimson Tide football, Atlanta Braves, and was a classic side arm horseshoe pitcher.

So glad I got to see him and shake his hand at Chigger’s Funeral. We had some fun times growing up in Weeden Town, Prayers!

ILL REMEMBER JACKIE AS A HARD WORKER THAT ALWAYS TOOK GOOD CARE OF HIS FAMILY.ILL ALSO REMBER THE TIMES I SPENT WITH HIM IN HIS BASS BOAT,WHICH HE HAD MANY AND THE LESSONS HE TAUGHT ME ABOUT FISHING ON PICKWICK AND WILSON LAKE.GOOD COOK AND GREAT PITCHING HORSESHOE ….MY CONDOLENCES TO HIS FAMILY AND MAY HIS SOLE REST IN PEACE.
So proud I got to see him at his home before passed! He throwed his fist up kidding with me, like me and him was gonna fight, he’s so funny🤣! Enjoyed the times that Janice, Jackie eat lunch with me and sissy!
