Betty Elizabeth Manns, age 86, of Florence, passed away August 20, 2024. Visitation will be Sunday, August 25th from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm at Tuscumbia First Methodist Church and the service following at 3:30 pm with Brother Rudy Guess officiating. Burial will be in Shaw Cemetery and Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Ethel Hollis; husband, Joe Manns; sister, Elsie Staggs; brothers, James Hollis, George Hollis, Alvin Hollis, Robert Hollis; nephews, Terry Staggs, Chris Staggs, Earl Hollis, Doug Hollis, and great-grandson, Sebastian Patterson.

Mrs. Manns is survived by her daughter, Debbie Patterson (Rodney); grandchildren, Laken Cole (Michael), Brooke Patterson; nieces, Regina Davis, Lisa McHale; nephews, Oneal Hollis, Frankie Hollis; many great-nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Manns was a member of Tuscumbia First United Methodist for twenty-five years. She enjoyed music, singing, and dancing. She also enjoyed attending Deshler High School ballgames. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and her dogs.

Serving as pallbearers are Michael Cole, Nathan Garrison, James Davis, and Jeffery Davis.

  2. Sincere condolences to Debbie, O’Neill, and the rest of Mrs. Mann’s extended family. She always had such a pleasant smile and great attitude, and was a devoted church member. Prayers for all for peace and comfort.
