Wanda June Taylor Ayers, age 84, of Tuscumbia, passed away September 7, 2024. Visitation will be Saturday September 14, at Williams Funeral Home in Florence, Al. at 11:00am-12:00pm and the service will follow. Burial will follow in Gray Rock Cemetery – Phil Campbell, Alabama. Pall Bearers will be David Frasemer, Bradley Tidwell, Jeremy Reffett, Mike Pyle, Bryson Avery, Richard Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jewel Florean Taylor; father, Vertis Audie Taylor; stepmother, Irene Taylor; beloved husband, Leroy Ayers; brother, William “Donnie” Taylor; and brother, Stephen Taylor.

Wanda is survived by her children, Elizabeth “Betsy” Faulk, James Rincon, Sherri Avery, David Frasemer (Sharon), Susan Frasemer, and Debbie Love (Jerry). Additional survivors include siblings Douglas Taylor (Judy), Dillard Taylor (Imelda), Patsy Fleming, Linda Cummins, Lori Little (Larry); grandchildren, Jessica Brister, Rachel Barzda, Donald Avery, Chloe Faulk, Brian Frasemer, Joey Frasemer; and nine great-grandchildren.

Special Mentions; Linda Smith, mother looked forward to receiving cards from Linda. They brightened her day. Parkview Baptist in Tuscumbia, they faithfully gave mother a gift at Christmas each year. Kathy Davenport, her other daughter.

Wanda worked at Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen in Chicago in the secretarial pool; as a Nurses Assistant at Russellville Hospital in the 1970’s; as a Pharmacy Tech at Shoals Hospital 1978-1993; as a Pharmacy Tech at Florida Hospital South in Orlando 1993-2006, where she retired.

She enjoyed keeping up with Alabama football with her son, Jim; the cubs and the Fighting Illini with her brother Doug. She also loved singing southern gospel music.
