Marilyn Condra Spurgeon, age 100, of Florence, passed away October 5, 2024. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Highland Baptist Church, 219 Simpson St., Florence, AL. The service will follow at 2:00 pm with John Brock officiating. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Friends will serve as pallbearers. Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Charles Howard Spurgeon; daughter, Carol Olive; parents, Russell and Lillie Condra; sisters, Norma Maloney, Dorothy Ann Condra; brothers, Richard Condra (Norma Sue), Russell Condra (Elizabeth), and Carl Condra (Sara).
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Margaret Mitchell (Dewey); grandchildren, Eddie Olive (Kristy Lee), Brad Olive (Vicki), Jason Montgomery (Mary Jo), and Jeffrey Montgomery (Daniela). Additional survivors include great-grandchildren, Tyler Olive (Brittany), Madison Olive, Rhett Montgomery, Sam Montgomery, Sara Hardy, Christian Olive, Tori Olive, and Chandler Morrison; great-great-grandchildren, Eloise Olive, Scarlett Olive and Lilly Olive.
Marilyn was a member of Highland Baptist Church of Florence, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She dearly loved being with her family especially during the holidays.
Donations in her memory may be made to Highland Baptist Church Legacy Fund, 219 Simpson Street, Florence, AL 35630. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at The Renaissance for excellent care in the last two years.

To the entire Olive family, Linda and I are sorry for your loss. You have our deepest sympathy. We knew her as Grandma also. She will be missed by many people that she has known over the 100 years that she spent with us. Our heartfelt sympathy is with at this time. Your included in our prayers also. Comfort to you all. We are glad to have known her even for the short time that we did.
