Ethel Viola Wode, age 92, of Florence passed away March 25, 2025. Visitation will be Friday, March 28 from 1 pm to 3 pm and service starting at 3:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Brother Adam Richardson will be officiating.

Serving as pallbearers are Shannon Leadford, Justin Marks, Dylan Marks, Donnie Kelley Jr, Lee Franks, and Chris Abernathy. Honorary pallbearer is Carter Marks.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Louise Grissom; sister, Ruth Smith; brother, Thomas Grissom; husband, Robert (Bob) Wode; and son, David Kelley Sr.

Ethel is survived by her son, Donnie Kelley Sr. (Pauline); daughter, Sheila Marks  (Jimmy); sister, Frances May (Jr.); grandchildren, Donnie Kelley Jr, Frankie Abernathy, Feleica Wentzlaff, Shannon Leadford, Justin Marks, Dylan Marks, Natasha Hall, April Ritter, and David Kelley Jr. Additional survivors include great-grandchildren, Shaylee Collins, Jake White, John Thomas Kelley, Trista Kelley, Lee Franks, Alyssa Abernathy, Akin Kelley, Aimery Wentzlaff, Tori Leadford, Carter Marks, Landon Jones, Peyton Kelley, Bryant Hamm, Cody Hall, Makenzie Hall, Delilah Kelley, Blayden Kelley; and many great-great-grandchildren.

Ethel cherished attending church and found joy in sewing. After retiring, her greatest pleasure became tending to her flower gardens.
