Larry Neal Crittenden, of Florence, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025. Visitation will be Thursday, August 7th from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother Frank Mills and Dave Crittenden officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with full military honors accorded. Pallbearers are Mark Crittenden, West Pugh, Brandon Napps, Jordan Glass, Earl Gardner, Fico Auger, and Dave Crittenden. Honorary Pallbearers are Dick Harrison, Mark Sain, Chris Golden, Trey Sherrod, Jimmy Golden, Matthew Sherrod, Mark Sherrod, and Brother Ellis Coats.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Mable Crittenden; sweet fur grandbabies, Harley Bear and Naook.
Survivors are his loving wife of 64 years, Doris Crittenden; daughter, Tammy L. Crittenden; son, Dave A. Crittenden (Jessica); grandchildren, Eva-Rose, Mark, Mae, and sweet fur grandbaby, Tank.
Larry was retired with Bankers Life and Casualty, now Invesco, a U.S Navy veteran and a member of Cross Point Church of Christ. He was an avid Bama fan. His nickname was “Hot Rod Larry” and he loved his 39 Chevrolet, racing and building cars.
