Jimmy Ray Nix, Jr., age 47, of Florence, passed away August 20, 2025. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Ray Nix, Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Nix; brother, Greg Ray; aunts, Rhea Fulmer (Steve), Veta Rodi (Pete), and Carolyn Nix; uncles, Gary Tays (Nancy), Loren Tays (Nancy), and Larry Nix (Suhila); nephews, Gage, Ryker and Asher Nix; and his beloved cat, Caliese.
Jimmy gave his life to the Lord when he was baptized two years ago in the Tennessee River. In his free time, he loved watching movies and television shows. Science fiction was his favorite genre. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially loved to watch his nephew play ball.

We remember Jimmy Ray as a little boy at Lee Heights Baptist. He was in my Mission Friends class at one time. Prayers for sweet Phyllis and family.
