The Man, the Myth, the Legend, Landel Lee Richardson, Double L (LL), Bird Demon, age 68 of Florence, passed away on January 9, 2026. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Williams Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 pm.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hobson and Geneva Richardson and his daughter Chelsie Richardson.

Landel is survived by his children: Christie Spielmann (John), and Jeremiah Richardson (Holly).  His brothers and sisters: Sherra Randolph, Danny Richardson (Brenda), Terry Richardson, and Lynn Presley. One grandchild, Peyton Hobson Richardson. Others that are considered family: Dennis Pruitt, Red and Bryan Carbine, Tim Wesson, and honestly not enough room to list all his wonderful friends.

LL, Bird Demon, proudly wheelied a 3-wheeler multiple times from County Road 83, passing the Alabama Tennessee state line, which was a 9-mile wheelie, no small task. He was a master mechanic, retired Norfolk Southern railroad conductor, motor enthusiast outdoorsman, skillful adventure seeker. From jet skis, bicycles, ATVs, to cars. There was nothing mechanical he couldn’t tackle. In his own way he loved his family fiercely.
