Joe Lopez
Wilson

December 4, 1962 - April 9, 2026

Family, Friends and Loved Ones of Joe Lopez Wilson.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit we remember the life of a good man. We pray the mourning and bereaved may come together to celebrate the gift of life and to share in Christ’s promise: “so that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life.” Amen.
(John 3:15)

We thank God for the blessing of knowing Joe Lopez Wilson as he walked this earth with us.
Joe is remembered as an honest, loving, and caring Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, and Brother, who anchored his family with compassion and faith in Jesus Christ for all of their days: “and they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you and your household will be saved.””
(Acts 16:31)

On the surface Joe was a 6’ 5” tall and strong guy, he liked to watch football and wrestling, once you got to know him, you met a deeper, humble, and altruistic man. Joe believed life is sacred and that everyone should live their life however they want. He was a man with deep empathy and one who would express heartfelt sympathy when anyone was suffering. He was not one to gossip or judge others for how they chose to live. He was a kind and gentle man who wanted nothing more than the health and happiness of his family, friends, and loved ones.

Joe Lopez Wilson was born December 4th 1962 in San Antonio Texas and follows his Wife Patrice Delgado, his brother Armando Wilson, his sister Diana Wilson, and his father also named Joe Wilson in passing.

He is survived by his Mother Dolores Wilson, his daughter Jennifer Wilson with her Husband Steven Reliford, his daughter Jazzmin Wilson with her Husband Jako Brown, his Grandsons Jae Brown, Jeremiah Brown, and Jace Brown, his Granddaughters Elley Hunt and Jacqueline Reliford, his sister Dolores Contreras with her Husband David Contreras, and his sister Mary Ann Robledo with her Husband Robert Robledo.

In 1989 while working at a Toy Factory in Dallas Texas, Joe met the love of his life Patrice and began his family. Jennifer was born in 1991 and Jazzmin was born in 1993. Joe left Dallas in 1994 to give his family a quiet life in Lawrenceburg Tennessee. He raised his family there for 31 years. Patrice passed away in 2023 and afterwards Joe moved to Alabama in 2025 to be closer to his daughters and help to raise his Grandchildren. Joe left this world to join Patrice and walk with Christ, April 9th at 5:25 PM. Final Rites were performed by Fr. Charles Deering of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Joe and Patrice raised two amazing daughters who maintain their family values of empathy, charity, and altruism. Joe did his part to keep a path lit for others to find the footsteps of Jesus Christ. His Grandchildren will now carry that light forward into their families for generations to come. We love you Joe and we will miss you~

~The Prayer for All the Faithful Departed, Prayer for Eternal Rest

In your hands, O Lord,
we humbly entrust our brother.
In this life you embraced him with your tender love;
deliver him now from every evil
and bid him eternal rest.
The old order has passed away:
welcome him into paradise,
where there will be no sorrow, no weeping or pain,
but fullness of peace and joy
with your Son and the Holy Spirit
forever and ever.
Amen.

~ The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
