Vernon Dewayne “Weasel” Moore, age 66, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Visitation will be on Monday, April 20^th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be on Tuesday, April 21^st at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother Jerry Balentine officiating.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon “Wickie” and Deloris “Cricket” Moore, sister, Debra Wallace.

Survivors are his children, Joshua Moore, Matthey Moore, Robin Moore, Ladonna Falgout, and Amber Aday; siblings, Lynn Haddock (Dwayne), Tim Moore (Toni), Jeff Moore (Carla), and Danny Moore; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dwayne worked hard his entire life.  Even during sickness, he still tried to work. His favorite pastime was scraping junk and working on projects. He loved his dog, which he named Scrappy after his hobby. He will be missed by many.
