Faye’s greatest masterpiece and truest joy was her family. Her love for them was fierce, unconditional, and ever-present. While she treasured her role as a mother and grandmother, it was her great-grandchildren, Makenzi and Zyliah, that she adored beyond measure. Her love for them will remain a guiding light in their lives forever.
Faye has been made whole and is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of 52 years, Onzie Beaver; her parents, Loice and Lorene Franklin; her brother, Johnny Franklin; her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Don Clark; her son-in-law, Rickey Beasley; and her nephew, Command Sergeant Major Ramond Beaver.
Her beautiful memory will be forever carried in the hearts of those she leaves behind: her selfless and benevolent daughter, Pamela Beaver Beasley; her cherished grandchildren, Brandi (Michael) Holyfield and Zack Beasley; her precious great-grandchildren, Makenzi Nakole Beasley and Zyliah Rayne Beasley. She is also survived by her special nieces, Cindi Clark and Lynda Clark; her loving cousin, Ina Faye Tucker; and her dear friend, JR Jones.
In her earlier years she enjoyed motorcycle riding, whether it be riding her own motorcycle or riding in the side car of her husband’s Gold Wing. Camping and opening her heart and home to host regular fish fries to “the boys” in the neighborhood were also among her favorite activities. So many of her daughter’s friends affectionately knew her as “Momma Faye”.
As time softened her days, she found peace in painting, drawing and putting puzzles together. As a graduate of Mars Hill, she also loved to keep up with their sports programs and attend games whenever possible and on Saturdays during football season she was tuned in to watch all of the Alabama games.
Faye was the epitome of what a mother and Nana should be. She will be missed so very much.
