Thomas “Junior” Moore Richardson Jr., age 70, of Florence, Alabama passed away on June 16, 2026, peacefully at home.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home.  Services will follow in the chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Darrin English officiating. Burial will be at Barrnett Cemetery in Lexington.

Pallbearers will be Austin Richardson, Coleman Richardson, Blake Harris, Curt Anderson, Marcus “Red” Smith, and David Butler. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John Musgrove, Mike Parker, Brian Harris, Jeff Davenport, Phillip Davenport, and Charles Davenport.

Junior is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Lucille Richardson. And his sister Janice Richardson.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Debbie Richardson. Four children, Kevin Richardson (Stephanie), Eric Richardson (Chelsea), Leeann Harris (Brian), and Charles Davenport (Marla). One brother, Danny Richardson (Rhonda). Three sisters, Pat Campbell (Mark), Jane Davenport (Jeff), and Teresia Nix (Charles). Six grandchildren, Austin Richardson (Presleigh), Coleman Thomas Richardson (Ashlie), Merritt Richardson, John Oliver and Opie McDonald. Great-granddaughter Liza Faith Richardson.

Junior was an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting and working on the farm. He was a Braves fan. He treasured every opportunity to spend time with his family and was passionate about coaching youth baseball, taking great pride in teaching children not only the game but also the values of teamwork and sportsmanship. He devoted 44 years to Valmet, where he worked as a machinist and manager. During his years there, he formed countless friendships and was respected by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Enhabit Hospice, Dr. Jason Wilkes and Staff.  And a very special thanks to close friends and family members who went above and beyond to help with his care.
