Barry Wayne Haggard, age 81 of Waterloo, Alabama, passed away on July 26, 2026. Visitation will be held at Williams Funeral Home of Florence on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Services will be held in the chapel at 2:00 pm with Kyle Smith and Flint Northcutt officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Chapel Presbyterian cemetery in Waterloo. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Joy Haggard. His brother and sister: William “Bill” Thomas Haggard and Sue Haggard Baskins.
Barry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda Murphy Haggard. His son Shannon Wayne Haggard (Carol), and his daughter Marsha Haggard. Four grandchildren: Jurnee Haggard Sharp (Trenton), Aubree Shyann Haggard, Ryder Wayne Haggard, and Kendra Clemmons (Ryan). As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
Barry enjoyed diving, fishing, farming and playing poker.
The family would like to express special appreciation to family and friends for the love shown to us during this time and to the health workers and staff of Gentiva Hospice.

He was one of a kind. A strong but kind man. Always made me feel like family. My wife MichaeleOliver and I send our deepest sympathy. I can see him on one side and my pops on the other side of our Lord and Savior.
