Obituary: 

Joel “Joe” Lee Black, Jr, 83, of the Valdosta Community, Tuscumbia, AL passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. Visitation will be Friday, August 31, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Spry~Williams Funeral Home, Florence. Graveside Service will be Saturday, September 1, 11:00 A.M. at Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery with Bro. Larry Rouse officiating. Mr. Black was retired from South Central Bell and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Preceding him in death was his wife, Betty Jean Black. Survivors include: Sons: Joel Lee Black III Michael Eugene Black Thomas Lynn Black & wife Jill Sister: Kristine Kirchner Grandchildren: Shelley Black and Tracey Black
