Martha Nell Russell Garner, 74, passed away July 29, 2018 at her home in Florence, AL with her loving husband of 55 years by her side. She was born in Tuscumbia, AL on June 3, 1944. A graduate of Deshler High School, she earned a business degree from the University of North Alabama.

Services will be private.

She was blessed by many friendships both new and old. By being selfless in her many acts of kindness, she was able to bless many friends, family and strangers throughout her 74 years. She is survived by her husband, Bud Garner; daughter, Kimberly Soria and husband John; son, Chris Garner and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Jake and Annastyn Garner, Krystina Bole and Zane Olive, Will Bole, Tina Morton and Gracie Morton; brothers, Harold (Carol) Russell of New Market, AL and Gerald (Bridgette) Russell of Leighton, AL; sisters, Annie Kinross of Erie, PA, Judy McCord of Pontotoc, MS, Bonnie (Mike) Preston of Tuscumbia, AL, and Sharon Byears of Mobile, AL ; special friends, Mary Joly and Dot Wiggington.
