David Hunter, age 73, of Florence, joined his beautiful wife, Linda, in heaven on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.   Services will be Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at Spry-Williams Funeral Home.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral at 3:00 p.m. with Rod Stansky officiating.  Burial will be at McGee Cemetery in Greenhill.

David was a 1965 graduate of Rogers High School and employed by Shoals MPE as a master plumber/gasfitter.  He loved singing and entertaining, hosting karaoke at Casa Mexicana in Sheffield and Muscle Shoals on Tuesday  and Thursday evenings.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Tate.  Survivors include his daughters, Tamela Hunter and Amber Hunter Rhodes (Tim); grandchildren, Zane and Zakary Parker, and Chance, Tanner and Jazmin Rhodes; and sister, Patsy Franklin.
