Dorothy Evelyn (Landrum) Srygley, age 95, of Florence passed away March 28, 2019 after a long term battle with Alzheimers/Dimentia among other health related issues.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Srygley Sr. and sons, Ules Lee “Curly” Morgan Jr. and Arthur “Artie” L. Srygley Jr.

She is survived by her sister Billie Byers; sons, Randal and Larry Morgan; grandsons, Todd, Donald , Jeff, Jason, Michael and Stephen Morgan; granddaughters, Lori Cannon and Rita Cobb; along with 14 great -grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Morgan, Jason Morgan, Stephen McGee, Larry Morgan, Randal Morgan, and Ricky Morgan. 

Visitation will be at Spry Williams Funeral Home at Helton Drive on Monday, April 1st, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  The funeral will be held on Tuesday April 2nd, 2019 at1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Sonny Owens officiating.   Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens, Florence.

Dorothy was best known in this area as the daughter of GW Landrum (Landrum Studios) and her extensive work in producing hand painted color portraits in a time when color photography was still in its infancy. 

The family would like to send out a special thank you to Community Care Hospice, specifically to Hannah Putnam and Violet Grant who were instrumental in providing the best in home healthcare imaginable.  We could not have survived without your kindness,   caring help, and the warmth and love you shared with our Grandmother during her last few months.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
