William Ray “Nuke” Strickland, age 27, of Cherokee, passed away August 24, 2020. Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Barton Cemetery.
William was preceded in death by his cousin, Matthew Nix, and aunt, Velma Pounders.
Survivors include his children, Aaliyah and Kaylee Strickland; parents, Eddie and Betsy Strickland; grandparents, Billy and Betty Aday; brothers, Jamie and Tyler Strickland; nephew, Hunter Lee Strickland; niece, Kaitlin Pettyjohn; and special aunts, Paulette Nix-Ponder, Amy Aday, Donna K. Schuster; and uncles, Jeff, Barry and Len Aday.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Strickland, Tyler Strickland, David Hamm, Austin Vandiver, Barry Aday, Anthony Aday, Matt Motes and Chris Kammerer
William was a loving father, son and brother

So sorry for your loss. Will was a beautiful person and we loved him so much. May God wrap his arms around both of you ( Eddie and Betsy) and give you the strength . RIP Sweet Guy I know you will always be missed.
