Gaius Crakaal, Sr., age 48, of Florence, passed away December 19, 2020.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 26, 2020, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at The Lord’s House, 7210 County Road 7, Florence, AL. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest beside his wife, Amber, at One Lost Sheep (formerly Lindsey Chapel) Cemetery. The family request face masks and social distancing.
Preceding Gaius in death was his wife, Amber Crakaal; parents, James and Barbara Crakaal; and grandson, Justin Elliott; and girlfriend, Mary Montgomery Smith.
He is survived by his children; Austin Smith, Lyza-Jane Crakaal, Perry Crakaal, Brandon Crakaal, Michael Elliott (Nikki), Anthony Crakaal (Danielle), Amanda Drew (Joe), Gaius Crakaal, Jr. ; grandchildren, Tomorrow-Lynn Grace Grisham, Michael John-Luke Gattis, Lucas James Crakaal, Lydia Kaye Crakaal, Peyton Lynn Crakaal, Braxton Wayne Elliott, Brantley Jason Elliott, Brooklynn Reese Crakaal; brothers, Roger Crakaal, Walter Crakaal, and Curtis Crakaal; and many nieces and nephews.
Gaius enjoyed spending time with his family, and especially adored his grandchildren.

I worked with Wayne at kleen air. He was a very kind person who adored his family. Prayers for the family for comfort in this time of loss.
