Dorothy Jean Keener, age 79, of Florence, passed away December 21, 2020. Services will be private. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Tri-Cities Mausoleum.
Mrs. Keener was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Keener; parents, A.J. and Elise Holbrook, and siblings, Mary Ann and Norman Holbrook.
Survivors include her children, Donna Crumpton (Tommy), Elise Nix (Scotty), Anne Olive (Tony), and James Keener (Kelly); grandchildren, Cliff Stout (Holly), Cody Nix (Summer), Albree Olive, Justin Olive, Kloee Keener, and Sofee Keener; great-grandchildren, Lawson and Carter James Nix, and Ellis James Stout; and siblings, Louise Jay, Andrew Holbrook (Charlotte), Earl Holbrook, Betty Luster (Mike), Patsy Kearley (Mike), Sarah Washburn (Larry).
Mrs. Keener dedicated her life to caring for her family and will be greatly missed. She was definitely known to many not just her grandchildren as the best “Granny” there was.

It was a blessing to care for Mrs. Keener. I truly loved her. I enjoyed sharing pictures of my children with her and learning about her & her family. She loved you all so much. I will miss you greatly. Condolences to the family.
I’m gonna miss you jean!!! We had many laughs!! She could never remember my name so I was jean to her too!! May you see many red birds in heaven!!!
You will be missed! I loved coming to the Kenner home growing up and having Mrs. Kenner as my Girl Scout Leader. Mrs. Kenner always had the best laugh and loved everyone. My heart goes out to all of the Kenner family.

We remember the good times we spent together.
Mrs. Keener was always so sweet to my sister and me. We were always welcomed just like a part of the family. I have great memories of the Keeners! Praying for peaceful hearts and hugs to all.
