Betty Lee Woods Yates, 74, of Florence, AL, passed peacefully from this life on December 24, 2020, at Florence Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born December 6, 1946 in San Antonio, TX, she was the daughter of Austin and Betty Lee. Betty was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Florence.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Betty Lee. She is survived by her sister, Frances (Greg) Vogel of Decatur, AL; her children, John Woods of Tarpon Springs, FL, Aaron (Chris) Woods of Waco, TX, Susan (Jamie) Stringer of Brandon, MS, and Anna (Scott) Mitchell of Indianola, MS; five grandchildren, Rachel and Jacob Woods, Garrett, Grayson and Graham Stringer; one niece, Katie (Scott) Nelson of Vestavia Hills, AL; great-nephew Austin Nelson and great-niece, Allie Nelson, and many cousins.

Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence is in charge of arrangements. Due to the current pandemic situation, the family will hold a memorial service later in 2021.
