Our beloved Kindra Pennington, age 47, passed away on Saturday October 15, 2022, at Helen Keller Hospital surrounded by her family after a brief illness.
Her memorial service will be held on Sunday November 6, 2022, at William’s Funeral Home in Florence, AL from 12-2 with Bro. Chris Johnson officiating.
Kindra was preceded in death by her father Dale Pennington; paternal grandparents Bill and Viola Pennington of Vernon AL; and maternal grandparents Oliver and Hazel Pinkerton of Fayette AL.
She leaves to cherish her memory her spouse Norma; mother Ginger Simon; mother in law Norma Marshall (Brian); father in law Gary Bryson; brother Ryan Pennington (Jencee); brother in law Michael Marshall; sisters Brittany Olvera (Wences), Sarah Simon, Victoria Simon, Kimberly Pennington (Lizz), Courtney Pennington, Lisa Noonan; sister in law Kristy Bryson (Shawn); nephews Hank and Elijah Pennington, Devin Williams, Shaun Cantrell, Derek Beane, Shawn Jr; nieces Alexa Olvera, Savanna Rose; and a host of other friends and family.
Kindra was a proud volunteer fire fighter at Underwood/Petersville Fire Department and employed at
NAL for many years. She enjoyed Alabama football, fishing, spending time with family, animals, the beach, and traveling as long as she didn’t have to drive. If Kindra considered you a friend, she considered you apart of her family. She was loyal and always willing to lend a hand to someone in need.
The family would like to send their deepest appreciation to the nurses and staff at Helen Keller ICU. They also thank Dr. Billsby, Davita Dialysis, and all that took part in caring for Kindra.
