Thank you much brother Tom Phillips.
I first met Dr. Phillips back in 2014 . My life was broken and in shambles.
Dr. Tom Phillips took the time to counsel me and completely helped save my life. He helped me understand the value of Life, value in myself and how to be a valued service to other people. He helped create a men’s group at church that had the same similar Focus. Tom helped sculpt and mold all of us to become leaders both men, women and children alike. He was a measure of love and compassion. I had needed a Father Figure in my life and he became just that and so much more.
His family and church welcome you with Open arms and hearts. I will miss my trusted friend,
thank you Tom for all that you do.
Nan & Scottie,
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Angela Jackson Whisenant
Thank you so much Angela. He was a great man and we miss him.
I met Pastor Tom when I moved back to this area and started attending New Beginning Church. He was a very caring person that really wanted to help others, and he helped me, also. His sermons had a ‘counseling’ undertone and were always so practical and helpful. I will never forget him! He was such a kind person! Prayers for all the family!
Bro Tom,
I will miss your beautiful soul. You fulfilled your purpose 100% and then some! I have never meet a man so calm, caring, full of grace , and kind in my life . Your passing hurt my heart ❤️ When I was young and doing young things I would wake up on Sunday morning and be like I’m going to go see Mr. Tom preach today . I would come alone and always listened intensely . You alway delivered your message in a calm easy to understand way! When I say there will never be another like you I mean it! You blessed me with one of my dearest Uncles who I’ve always thought so highly of and has guided me also! I am so glad you get to be with Ms. Brenda now! Thank God you have always been apart of my life since before I was born ha ha! I’m not sure how I would have turned out if I hadn’t been molded by your words and messages! I’m not sure if anyone will ever capture my attention as you did! Your work is done here on earth and you deserve every treasure you will receive in heaven .
I love you
Samantha
I first met Bro. Tom around 1994 when we joined First Baptist in Killen. I could talk to him about anything & everything, he helped me so much ! He baptized my husband , daughter and myself on Easter Sunday 1995. We followed him to New Beginning from the start. He officiated my husbands funeral 3 years ago and there is no-one else that I would have asked. I love Tom and miss him already. He is home with the father , no troubles , no pain & exactly where we all want to be. Till we meet again ……
Truly a man of God.
Bro Tom,
Thank you for being so kind and compassionate to me in my darkest hour. Thanks for the Godly advice, and the laughs along the way. Thanks for using every tool in your belt to try and save my marriage. Thank you for showing me the love of God to help me to heal. Thanks for showing me that God hates divorce, but not the divorcee. Thanks for counseling me and my bride to be. Thanks for driving and hour and a half to officiate our wedding ceremony. Thanks for keeping tabs on us, and our story. Thanks for standing on the power and truths in God’s word. Thank you brother for being my friend! I am selfishly sad for myself, and for the many marriages that you would have saved in years to come, but I am extremely happy for you today as you walk and talk with Jesus. May God continue to bless your church, your ministry, and your sweet family that were always bragging about.
I love you and miss you buddy!
