Jerry Wayne West, age 69, of Florence, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 20^th, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother Dennis Oakley and Brother Wayne Geans officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery. Pallbearers will be City of Florence Fireman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Mary Walker West; siblings, Ernest West, Billy West, Lois Moomaw, and Judy Gladney.

Survivors are his wife, Carolyn West; daughter, Lisa Broadfoot (Jeff); granddaughter, Brooke Rice; siblings, Larry West, David West, Faye Graves, and Joyce Oakley; great-granddaughter, Calise Higdon.

Jerry died peacefully on December 16^th at his home surrounded by his family.  He attended Faith Church and was employed with the City of Florence Fire Department where he retired as a Lieutenant after 28 years of service during which time he also founded and managed 2 businesses, W and M Contractors and the Family Home Builders.

He was a devoted Alabama fan and loved to travel, enjoyed camping in the RV, playing the guitar, listening to music, and any gathering that involved a good meal.
