Martha Geneva Butler Barnett, age 88, of Lexington, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023. Visitation will be Monday, August 14^th, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 4:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will be at Butler Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, G.W. and Vona Butler; husband Arlon Barnett;  brother, Larry Carlton Butler.

Survivors are her brother, Jerry Paul Butler (Linda); sister, Barbara Wilbanks (Hugh); special sister-in-law, Shirley Smith; nieces, Sheree Butler Bain, Lisa Wilbanks, and Anna O’dell; nephews, Bryan Butler and Shane Butler.

Martha was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Lexington, member of the Lexington Lions Club and Ladies Home Extension Club. She worked with the Lexington Library, served volunteer work for the community and donated to multiple organizations and wanted to help and serve underprivileged families.  She loved playing cards.
