Rayburn Leon Allison age 77, of Waterloo, Alabama, passed away January 21, 2024. Visitation will be Friday, January 26 at Oak Grove Pentecostal Church 1:30 – 3:00 pm with service starting at 3:00 pm. Steve Bender will be officiating.
Rayburn was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Bama Allison; brothers, Harve Allison, Andrew Allison and Eugene Allison; sisters, Lucille Clemmons, Gertrude Wright, Lois Smith, and Sandra Baskins; and his favorite fishing buddy, Bobby Gentry.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Carolyn Allison; children, Vicki Overholser (Shawn) Florence AL, brother, Vernon Allison Florence AL; sister-in-law, Shirley Allison Cypress Inn TN. Additional survivors include grandchildren, Meagan Powers (Damon), Madison Overholser (Hannah), A’Rheonna Overholser; great-grandchildren, Bentlee Powers, Charlee-Brooke Powers, Huxlee Powers, Ayla-Kate Overholser, Maddox Overholser; lots of nieces and nephews.
Rayburn was retired from Sara Lee. He was a member of Oak Grov Pentecostal Church and he loved to crappie fish.
Serving as pallbearers are Madison Overholser, Damon Powers, Bentlee Powers, Joey Wood, Travis Brown, Russell Smith, and Keith Allison.
