Teresa Price Atkinson, age 61, of Florence, passed away on Monday, February 19th, 2024. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22nd, in the Williams Funeral Home chapel from 11:00 am to 1:00pm. Service will follow at 1:00 pm. Teresa will be laid to rest in North Carolina Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Webb and Mattie Virginia Weaver, brother-in-law, Joel Glover and her father-in-law, Bobby Atkinson.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Atkinson, her children; Brandie Adams (Timothy) and Lance Price (Mary), her four siblings; Elaine Wideman, Dorthy Dowden, Carolyn Glover, and Sheila Hunter, her grandchildren; Madison, Morgan, Madelynn, and Maddox, and her mother-in-law; Martha Atkinson, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Teresa graduated from Bradshaw High School before furthering her education at the University of North Alabama. She walked across the stage at UNA then went on to teach in the Florence City School system where she later retired. Teresa was a faithful woman who attended the Church of the Highlands. Her kind and loving spirit touched the lives of many students and community members before passing. She will be greatly missed.

  3. So sorry yo hear about Teresa. She was such a beautiful person to around. I will always remember her coming to Family dance and bringing her kids . She loved to dance and have fun with her family! She will greatly be missed!

  5. Teresa had a way of making those around her feel special. She was a wonderful teacher and great friend. I am truly thankful I had the opportunity to know her and grieve her no longer being with us.

  6. I will always remember Teresa enjoying life and loving to dance and be with her family. She was always kind to everyone and I hope she knew how much Alese and I thought of her. I will never forget her winning the twist competition at Wheeler Dam Dance what seems like a lifetime ago. I am a better person having known her and her family. Best wishes to you all.
