Norman Flynn, age 97, of Florence, passed away February 28, 2024. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Stony Point Church of Christ. A celebration of his life will follow at 12:00 noon with Claude Flynn, Brad Adcock, and Dorian Flynn officiating. Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mr. Flynn was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Sylvia Flynn of seventy years.
He is survived by his youngest brother, Claude Flynn; son, Dorian Flynn (Cheri); daughter, Glenis Scogin; grandchildren, Laura Tapia (Andres); son, Lee Flynn (Bridgett), and Landon Flynn (Roxanne); great-grandchildren, Trystan Tapia, Dakota Tapia, Boston Flynn, and Weslie Flynn; many special nieces and nephews.
Mr. Flynn was a company director for twenty years for Matabeland Clothing Factory, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia). He was an elder, minister, and teacher for the Churches of Christ for over seventy years throughout South Africa, Zimbabwe, and the United States of America. He loved sports, especially Rugby and SEC football.

Norman meant so much to all of us in the Smith household. He was a wonderful preacher and a delightful person to be around. I was privileged to have him perform my wedding ceremony. He will be greatly missed. Praying for comfort for the family.
