Harvey Lynn Bruce, age 67, of Florence, passed away July 21, 2024. Visitation will be Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Williams Funeral Home of the Shoals from 12:00 – 2:00 pm with the service following in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Chris Olive will be officiating, and burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Benjamin Bruce, Bradley Bruce, Michael Bates, Joe Johnson, Charles Burns and Robert Rodgers. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Ricky Kelley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ben Bruce and mother, Patricia Graham; brothers, Brady and Randy Bruce; father-in-law, G.W. Bates; and stepfather, Pop Graham.
Harvey is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Lou Bates Bruce; sons, Benjamin Bruce (Kayla) and Bradley Bruce (Heather). Additional survivors include sisters, Sarah Morrison and Laura Bourdon (Rick); brother, Billy Arnold (Rosey); mother-in-law, Peggy Bates; and special niece, Jennifer Lynn Ganey.
Harvey was an avid outdoorsman, and a sling shot sharpshooter. He loved snake hunting, arrowhead hunting, coon and deer hunting. He enjoyed collecting marbles, knives and zippo lighters. Harvey spent his career as an auto body tech specializing in painting vehicles.

Sorry to hear of Lynn’s passing. We grew up together on Plum Street. Sarah, Laura, Billy I had hoped to come today, but as usual my bad back reared up on me, and I am not able. Please know I’m there in spirit. May God hold you all in his loving hands!
