Barbara “Nana Banana” Jean Sharp, age 84, of Florence, passed away on November 12, 2024. A private visitation and graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens, with David Matthews officiating. A public memorial service will be announced at a later date. Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Era May Stubblefield.

Barbara was a beloved mother and grandmother and is survived by her two daughters, Marsha Carter (Bob) and Angela Thigpen (Mike); four grandchildren, Adam Matthews (Courtney), Grace Carter, Taylor White (Tyler), and Rachel Carter; five great-grandchildren, Greyson, Leni, Maylee, Madelyn, and Elsie.

Barbara grew up at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. In her younger years she enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and tennis. She was an avid Alabama football fan.
