Marilyn Sue Miller Davis, age 82, of Lexington, Alabama passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024. A graveside service will be Saturday, April 6th at 2:00 pm at Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville, Tennessee. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 20th at 11:00 am at Marys Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Lexington with Pastor Marcus Wilson officiating. All friends and family are welcome to visit with the family after the celebration of life on Saturday.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett R. and Alice A. Miller; husband, Cecil F. Davis; grandson, Jacob Davis.
Survivors are her children, Charles R. Davis (Anita), Amy D. Davis, Cecil J. Davis, and Scott D. Davis (Brenda); sister, Margaret E. Graham; brothers, Charles R. Miller, David R. Miller, and Stephen D. Miller; grandchildren, Cliff (Amanda), Clay (Sarah), Forrest, Darin, and Brookelyn; great-grandchildren, Corban and Callie.
Marilyn was a member of Mary’s Chapel Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday school for many years. She retired with Bank Independent as an underwriter after being instrumental in the setup of their mortgage department. Marilyn spent several years traveling the U.S.A as a contract mortgage specialist working with G.E Capital Mortgage. Her hobbies included crocheting, rock hounding with good friends, playing the piano, and enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In-lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marys Chapel of the Nazarene. A special thanks to 2nd floor CCU, and doctors at NAMC and to Amanda with Compassus for their love and care.

All the memories that came back in my mind. The laughs the tears the good times and the sad times. My family always loved yall and even though we lost touch over the years we thought and talked about you and kids often. You rest high Marilyn and I will see you again just as God has promised. I love you today tomorrow and forever.
