Katherine “Vennie” Lavena Rhodes Murphy, age 67, of Florence, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024. A graveside service will be Wednesday, May 1^st at 2:00 pm at Pisgah Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Lettie Rhodes; siblings, Lois Miller, Gladys Durham, Jessie Butler, Dan Rhodes, David Rhodes, Patricia Lane and Billy Rhodes.

Survivors are her sons, Richard Murphy (Scott) and Jeremy Murphy (Natasha); grandchildren, Gracie and Belle; several nieces and nephews.

Vennie was of the Christian faith. She loved her grandchildren. In-lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lauderdale County Animal Shelter.
