Nancy Carol Brannen Powell, age 80, of Florence, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Evelyn Brannen; husband, Radford Oneal Powell; daughters, Heide Lynn Schell, Bobbie Sue Krumholt, and Nancy Amanda Carsner; granddaughters, Jennifer Krumholt and Nancy Amanda Carsner.

Survivors are her son, Michael Lay (Stacy); sisters, Emily Brady, Martha Kitchings, and Ruthie Brannen; brother, Herman Branner, Jr.; grandchildren, Carol Starr Simoneaux, Jessica Krumholt, Mickey Lay, Tommy Lay, Dillion Lay, and Jordan Lay; several great-grandchildren.

She worked in the food service industry for several years and was a member of the Baptist faith. Williams Funeral Home of Florence assisting the family.
