Dawson Lee McCord, born March 2, 2009, age15, of Killen, passed away January 4, 2025. Visitation will be Monday, January 13, 11:30– 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Florence with the service starting at 1:00 pm in the chapel.
He is preceded by his aunt, Tracy Goodwin.
Dawson is survived by his mother, Dana Lynn Goodwin; father, Joshua Charles McCord; brothers, Noah McCord and Jeremiah McCord; grandparents, Ed and JoAnn Goodwin; aunt, Tammy Lowrie; uncle, Scott Goodwin; and beloved dog, Lexi.
Dawson attended Brooks High School and a dedicated baseball player from Sevierville, Tennessee. He attended Killen First Baptist Church. Dawson enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, especially bonding over gaming. His bright smile and playful sense of humor were contagious, and he loved sharing laughter with those around him. An avid fan of amusement parks and traveling, Dawson always sought new adventures. He had a deep appreciation for music and movies, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Known for his kind heart, Dawson loved helping others and always put others first. His many cousins held a special place in his heart, and the bond they shared was something he treasured deeply.
